I am going to tell about the story of Surf Up. LOL!
Surf Up story outline:-
This movie is about a penguin called Cody Maverick, who wanted to be a surfer ever since he saw Mr Z. surfing so well in the waves. Cody Maverick lives with his mum and his brother, Glenn. Everyone, including his family members thought that Cody was a lousy surfer and that he would never make his mark by just surfing. Cody's father passed away long time ago. During a surfing competition, everyone thought that Mr Z. died from the strong wave that squashed him. And all the penguins performed a memorial to remember Mr Z. However, the truth was that Mr Z. did not die. He only hid himself in a secluded place to think about the past and all the things that he did. Cody heard about the competition and wanted very much to take part in it. He tried to surf in the high waves but failed and got stung by a sea urchin. Luckily Mr Z.'s god daughter saved Cody from the waters and brought him to a cave where her Uncle, Mr Z.stayed. Mr Z. saved Cody by drinking a potion, pulling out the sting and urinating the drank potion on the wound. Mr Z. wanted Cody to make a surf board of his own. Hence he dragged and pulled a good wood into the woods. Who knows the wood slipped off Mr Z.'s hands and it went tumbling and falling down to a beach. It was at the beach that Cody realized that the uncle was actually Mr Z. and that he did not die. Cody learned how to make a good surf board from Mr Z. by the way of carving the wood as well as how to surf at ease in the waves. At the memorial competition for Mr Z., Tank the many times winner almost got killed by the huge waves. While the chicken and Cody became really good friends. Tank wanted to trash the chicken but Cody managed to save it from being harmed. Lesson learned :- Although it was a competition, it does not mean that you had to win. Friendship with the chicken and Mr Z. and knowledge of how to surf from an expert was just as good!
I would say that the movie was good for young children as there is a lesson learned behind the show and it teaches children that winning is not the most important thing.5 thumbs up for the movie. =)
